How Indoor Games Are Creating Kenya's Next World-Class Champions A Kenyan name now echoes on the global darts stage. Mr. David Munyua’s presence at this year’s World Darts Championship is more than a personal milestone; it is a statement. It tells a story many have overlooked for years — that greatness is not confined to the football pitch. With the right discipline, exposure, and belief , talent in alternative and indoor games can rise to the highest levels of the world. For a long time, indoor games have been misunderstood as new or secondary sports . In reality, these disciplines have existed for generations, developing quietly alongside mainstream games. While football has rightfully earned its place in the spotlight, it has never been the only path to excellence. Not everyone is wired to shine on the soccer field, and that truth should never be treated as a limitation. Indoor and alternative sports provide space for different gifts to flourish. These games demand sharp thinki...

Darts for Beginers

DARTS FOR BEGINNERS Understanding the Board and How to Play Better Darts is a fun and exciting game that anyone can enjoy, but to play it well, you first need to understand the dartboard and how scoring works. Once you know the basics, improving your throw and accuracy becomes much easier. A standard dartboard has numbers from 1 to 20. At first glance, the numbers may appear randomly placed. However, their arrangement is one of the most important and carefully designed features of the game, intentionally created to reward accurate throws.   Each number has different scoring areas:  The large section (Inner single & Outer single) of a number gives you the normal score.  The thin outer ring is called the double , and it gives you twice the base value. For example, hitting double 20 gives you 40 points. The thin inner ring is the triple , which gives you three times the number. For example, hitting triple 20 gives you 60 points, which is the highest score from one d...

Mashujaa Day Tribute: Celebrating True Heroes of Kenya

Image
By Yedu Sports Club Today, as Kenya celebrates Mashujaa Day, we take a moment to honor a remarkable hero of democracy, the late Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga. Raila Odinga stands tall in the pages of our nation’s history as a man whose courage, sacrifice, and love for Kenya transcended personal gain. He is a hero of our times — a leader who lived through generations and stood firm through the many seasons of Kenya’s political transformation. Having endured detentions, betrayals, and stolen victories, he remained steadfast and resilient, always believing that Kenya was greater than any one individual. He is called Baba because he truly became a father to many — a symbol of unity, compassion, and hope. Many misunderstood his handshakes as political compromise, but in truth, they were gestures of peace and reconciliation. His decision to forgive President Moi, despite the years of hardship he suffered under his regime, showed the world that true leadership is grounded in forgiveness...
